DONA Certified Doulas may purchase a 6-month extension for a fee of 10.00. This extension will allow for an additional 6 months to complete recertification. The doula will remain on the website for referrals during this 6 month extension. The extension will not change the doulas original due date, thus the doula will have to recertify in 3 years from the original expiration date.
If the doula does not complete the recertification process within the 6-month extension, she will have to reapply for certification, including taking a DONA approved training. Only one extension per recertification period will be allowed.
Please note that you will not receive anything in the mail when purchasing this extension. We will update our records indicating that you have the extension.
