We believe in career-long learning and growth for doulas.
DONA International members are dedicated to keeping up on evidence-based information. DONA International certified doulas are required to recertify every three years. Our recertification process ensures that the doula remains proficient in the field, as well as keeping their skills and knowledge base up-to-date. Consider joining us for an annual conference. It’s always an inspiring time of connection and learning! You can also connect here with business webinars, general practice webinars and a variety of DONA approved advanced doula training.
In 2025 our annual Summit was held in-person in Seattle, WA, in 2023 it was in Minneapolis, MN. In 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024, it went virtual and on-demand.

DONA International is proud to partner with organizations and birth workers across the globe to offer excellent continuing education opportunities for our doulas, right in their own communities. Approved educational events are diverse in their subject matter, structure, hours offered and location. You can also visit DONA Elevate, our online Learning Management System (LMS), which we use to host online courses used for continuing education credits.
The DONA International webinar platform, DONA Elevate, has various past conference sessions. The session line-up changes periodically, and is offered to DONA Members for $20, and non-members for $35.
Participating in a business webinar is also a requirement of certification with DONA International. If you’re already certified, you can also earn contact hours that you can use toward recertification with DONA International and many other birth organizations. All webinars on this page qualify for the business webinar requirement for certification.
Keeping your knowledge base and skills up to date is an important part of working as a doula. Webinar viewing includes contact hours for recertification with DONA International and many other birth organizations.
Each webinar costs $30 for DONA International members and $50 for non-members. To receive member pricing, find your member number (customer ID) in the DONA portal login section.
